Colonial Days 10/19

Here are a few snapshots of our afternoon at the Colonial Days celebration.  We had a lot of activities to do and had a lot of fun!
The Ropemaker came out and brought this huge machine with him.  The kids were able to chose colors of rope to be mixed in and we actually formed a rope we were able to play with!  Chris is jumping rope with the rope that 3rd grade made!  Pretty cool.
Making Candles
The kettlecorn guy came out to teach the kids how to make the kettlecorn and try a free sample.  This was very nice of him and his wife.  Please support them if you are ever at the Lake St. Louis farmer's market on Saturday mornings!
The kids were pretty excited!

For our last activity we got to take our pictures wearing outfits from colonial times.  We had a great time!
